Wear a sachet of St. John’s in order to ward off fevers and colds, attract love, or, if you are a soldier, make you invincible. Place in a jar and hand by a window in order to protect against lightning, fire, and evil spirits. If it is dried over a Midsummer fire and hung around windows, this herb is meant to ward off ghosts, necromancers, and evildoers. Burned, it banishes spirits and demons.
